Grupo Mitrelli chose DataRoad - IT Services and Consulting to completely renew the network infrastructure of its office in Portugal. The team installed more than 3000 metres of structured cabling, 10 Gbps Layer 3 PoE switches, Wi-Fi 6 access points with centralised management, a corporate firewall, CCTV video surveillance and access control — with design, installation and certification delivered by a single team.

How the new network was built
Physical layer
More than 3000 metres of structured cable, with every network point certified at the end of the works. Certified cabling is the foundation that ensures the rest of the network delivers the performance promised.
Switching core
10 Gbps Layer 3 PoE switches, which power the access points and cameras over the network itself and route traffic between segments with capacity to spare.
Enterprise Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi 6 access points installed and configured for optimised coverage throughout the office, with centralised management and continuous monitoring.
Security
An integrated corporate firewall to protect the infrastructure, a CCTV video surveillance system and an enterprise access control solution — logical and physical security in a single project.
Management after the build
As an MSP, DataRoad supports infrastructures like this one with proactive, fully managed services — monitoring, alerting and reporting — through the IT Unlimited contract. The Premium plan includes unlimited on-site support; Premium 365 adds nights, weekends and public holidays, with 24/7 support and monitoring.
