Cost and what is included

How much does a managed IT services contract cost?

From €395/month + VAT. The reference prices per plan are:

  • Essential — from €395/month + VAT, for 10 workstations.
  • Premium — from €750/month + VAT.
  • Premium 365 — from €1,200/month + VAT.

The final price depends on the actual scope: size of the network, printers, NAS, servers, number of sites, critical systems and Apple devices. The proposal is fixed and delivered in writing.

Under what model are the services contracted?

Under the IT Unlimited model: a fixed monthly fee, with no limit on support requests, including monitoring, preventive maintenance and security. There are three tiers: Essential, Premium and Premium 365. See, line by line, what the fee covers.

What distinguishes Essential, Premium and Premium 365?

The level of presence and the hours:

  • Essential — remote and phone support for companies with 10 or more workstations; does not include on-site visits.
  • Premium — adds unlimited on-site support, with visits included.
  • Premium 365 — adds nights, weekends and public holidays, with 24/7 monitoring and support.
Is there a lock-in period?

No. The contract is annual, renews automatically and ends with 60 days' notice. That is the only exit condition.

What is outside the monthly fee?

Equipment purchases and infrastructure projects, such as new networks, cabling and migrations. All of these are quoted and approved before work starts. On Essential the service is remote and phone only; if you need on-site support, the right plan is Premium.

All brought together in DataRoad in facts.

What exactly does a premium MSP do?

It takes on the ongoing management of the company's technology. Instead of depending on one or two people in-house, the company gains a team for networks, security, cloud and support, professional monitoring tools and a predictable monthly cost.

DataRoad is headquartered in Alfragide (Lisbon) with on-site support throughout Portugal, and works on three fronts: proactive monitoring; remote, on-site and phone support; and strategic management. Meet the team and see what sets us apart.

Which organisations do you work for?

Companies with 10 or more workstations that depend on technology to operate: hotels, clinics, embassies and consulates, public bodies, multinationals and SMEs in a range of sectors. Always directly with the end client, under contract, never as a subcontractor. Read what our clients say.

Which manufacturers do you have certified partnerships with?

Microsoft, Apple (Apple Technical Partner), Dell Technologies, HP, Ubiquiti, Cisco and ESET, among others. This guarantees direct access to manufacturer support and up-to-date training. Details in partnerships and certifications.

Do you accept one-off jobs or private individuals?

No. We work only with businesses, under a support contract, with 10 or more workstations, and we do not take on small jobs such as installing a single network point. This focus is what sustains a premium service.

Do you sell equipment?

Not on its own. We supply the equipment that projects and the service require; services such as a PBX phone system require an IT Unlimited contract, and any network we install remains under our management.

Managed business networks and infrastructure

Do you manage business Wi-Fi in hotels and large spaces?

Yes. We carry out coverage surveys, installation with professional Ubiquiti equipment and ongoing management. In a hotel, the network has to serve hundreds of devices at the same time. See business Wi-Fi and IT for hospitality.

Do you install structured cabling?

Yes, certified, with tests and documentation handed over at the end. After the works, the network is managed by us under IT Unlimited. Network infrastructure and cabling.

Does every company need a firewall?

Yes, any company connected to the internet. The firewall controls traffic and blocks malicious connections and unauthorised access; under IT Unlimited it is managed and updated by us. Managed firewalls.

Do you manage physical and virtual servers?

Yes: installation, monitoring, virtualisation, updates, backups and plans for renewal or moving to the cloud, decided according to actual needs. Servers and virtualisation.

Managed cybersecurity and compliance

What protection is included in the plans?

Managed firewalls, network probes, endpoint protection, multi-factor authentication (2FA/MFA) and monitoring with alerting, in layers and reviewed daily. Cybersecurity for businesses.

Is an SME really a target?

Yes, often because its defences are weaker. Phishing, credential theft and ransomware hit companies of every size. MFA, a managed firewall, updates and tested backups remove most of the risk and cost less than a day of downtime.

Do you help with GDPR?

Yes, on the technical side: access control, encryption, backups, access logging and security of systems holding personal data. Legal questions and the role of data protection officer require specialist advice.

And with the Portuguese cybersecurity regime (NIS2)?

Yes, also on the technical side. Decree-Law no. 125/2025, Portugal's transposition of NIS2, has been in force since 4 May 2026 and requires risk management, access control, backups, monitoring and incident response. We implement those measures; confirm with legal advisers whether your entity is in scope and what the registration obligations are on the MyCiber platform.

What happens in a ransomware attack?

With the right protection, the impact is contained: we isolate the affected devices, remove the threat and restore data from secure copies. We do not recommend paying ransoms; the difference between hours and weeks of downtime lies in the backups and the speed of the response.

How we measure the service

What SLA do you guarantee?

Immediate response, with maximum timescales written into each contract by severity level. The full table is in service levels and SLA.

How does proactive monitoring work?

Agents on the managed devices send alerts when something is out of the ordinary: a disk filling up, a stopped service, a device offline, an intrusion attempt. Many problems are solved before the user notices; out-of-hours monitoring is part of Premium 365.

What are the support hours?

Business hours on every plan. Nights, weekends and public holidays, with 24/7 monitoring and support, only on Premium 365, designed for hotels and clinics that cannot wait until Monday.

How do I open a support request?

Through the client portal, by email or by phone. Each request creates a ticket that is followed through to closure; on Essential support is remote and phone, while Premium and Premium 365 include unlimited on-site support.

Cloud, Microsoft 365, Apple and continuity

Do you migrate and manage Microsoft 365?

Yes. We plan and carry out the migration of email, files and Teams, configure security and manage licences, users and policies, as Microsoft partners. Microsoft 365 for businesses.

Is the cloud safe for sensitive data?

Yes, when properly configured, with MFA, access policies, encryption and monitoring. Microsoft 365 does not replace an independent backup, so we always recommend a separate copy of critical data.

Do you manage Apple fleets?

Yes. We manage Mac, iPhone and iPad in businesses, with Microsoft 365 integration, security and user support. DataRoad is an Apple Technical Partner. Apple services for businesses.

How do you handle backups?

We agree with you what is copied, how often and where, including off-site, monitor every copy and test restores. A backup that has never been restored is no guarantee. Backup solutions.

What is a business continuity plan?

It is the document that defines how the company keeps operating, and how quickly it recovers, after a failure, fire, attack or long power or internet outage. Disaster recovery and continuity.

Demanding sectors and international clients

Do you have experience in hospitality and healthcare?

Yes. In hotels we manage guest Wi-Fi, PMS, bookings, telephony and security; in clinics, networks, servers, workstations and backups, with particular care for health data. IT for clinics.

Do you work with embassies and the public sector?

Yes. We serve embassies and consulates with the discretion they require, including official events, and public bodies with network and Wi-Fi contracts. IT for the public sector.

Do you provide support outside Portugal?

Yes. We support companies in Europe and the USA, and international companies based in Portugal, through remote support; our cover already includes Paris. We have a datacentre with redundant internet, Starlink and renewable energy, where international clients work remotely. International companies.
