On-site coverage survey
Measurements taken at your premises, with no commitment
Coverage map and access point plan
Proposal with scope, timeline and price
Certified cabling
CAT6A and fibre, certified and under warranty
Organised, labelled racks
Installation outside working hours
Measurement before the proposal
The site survey always comes first. Without measuring the space there's no coverage guarantee — and we give a guarantee.
Installation and tuning
Power levels and channels set from the measurements, not from factory defaults.
Separate networks
Guests, operations and management isolated from one another, each with its own limits and portal.
Centralised management
Controller, updates and alerting handled remotely. The network is watched over, not left to run on its own.
Business Wi‑Fi
business networks with measured coverage
We design business Wi-Fi networks from a coverage survey, not from guesswork. Access point density is defined by the number of simultaneous users, the building materials and existing interference.
We install Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 with centralised controllers, VLAN segmentation, a separate guest network and a captive portal where needed. In hospitality, where device density per room is high, we size for the peak, not the average.
After installation we measure the real coverage and hand over the heat map, so that what was contracted is documented.
Wi-Fi is no longer an extra — it's where your business works. DataRoad designs and installs business wireless networks with complete coverage and guaranteed security: an on-site coverage survey, professional equipment and ongoing management. Your team connects and gets on with the job; visitors get separate, secure access; and the network grows with your business.
Business Wi-Fi networks — installation, coverage and management
Most business Wi-Fi networks were never designed: access points were simply added as complaints came in. The result is too much coverage in some places, too little capacity where people actually are, and nobody looking after the network once it's installed.
Measured coverage
An on-site survey before deciding where each access point goes.
Capacity, not just signal
Four bars are useless in a room with 80 connected devices.
Separate networks
Guests, operations and devices on distinct networks, each with its own policies.
Managed afterwards
A centralised console and monitoring — we don't stop at installation.
Coverage is not the same as capacity
It's the most expensive misunderstanding in business Wi-Fi. An access point can cover an entire room with an excellent signal and still stop responding when fifty people connect at once. In a training room, a full hotel or an open-plan office, what's missing is almost never signal — it's capacity and channel planning. That's why we measure on site, with the space in use, rather than calculating from a floor plan.
How we do it
- Site surveyOn-site measurement, with the walls, the materials and the people who are actually there.
- DesignNumber and position of access points, channels, power levels and the networks to create.
- InstallationMounting, cabling and PoE, with access points exactly where the design places them.
- ValidationA fresh measurement after installation, to confirm what was promised.
- ManagementCentralised console, alerts and continuous tuning under contract.
Equipment we install
Ubiquiti UniFi
We are a certified Ubiquiti partner. Access points, gateways, PoE switches and management of every site from a single console, with local control that keeps the network running even without internet. No mandatory recurring licences: the cost is the equipment plus management under IT Unlimited. It's the usual choice for offices, hotels, clinics and education.
Cisco Meraki
For larger installations — campuses, multiple sites, advanced security requirements — with cloud management.
Wi-Fi 6, 6E and 7
Today's standards, with real gains where they matter most: high-density environments in which many devices compete for the same channel. Operation on 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz, with automatic channel and power optimisation.
A guest portal with your company's branding
Hotels, clinics, offices and meeting rooms welcome visitors every day. We set up a guest network isolated from the internal network, with an access portal featuring your brand's logo and colours, terms of use, speed limits and access expiry. Visitors connect easily and your working network stays protected.
Every site in a single console
With multiple sites, the network stops being a collection of isolated installations. Managed from a single console, every location shares the same policies, the same real-time visibility and the same security standard. Because DataRoad takes responsibility for maintaining and managing the installed network under the IT Unlimited contract, changes, updates and troubleshooting are handled centrally, without unnecessary site visits.
Integrated security
VLAN segmentation, an isolated guest network, threat detection and access control, all on the same platform.
Service continuity
Automatic failover between internet connections and redundancy at critical points, so the network doesn't stop.
Monitoring and management
Visibility of every access point and every connected client, with alerts and updates managed by DataRoad.

Environments where the network has to hold up
Hospitality
Coverage in every room and public area, a guest network separate from operations, and an access portal.
Clinics
Clinical equipment, workstations and visitors on separate networks, with constant availability.
Warehouses and logistics
Coverage at height and along aisles, with roaming that doesn't drop handheld terminals.
Offices and coworking
High density in meeting rooms and open areas, with visitor management.
Frequently asked questions
Do you carry out a survey before quoting?
Yes. Without on-site measurement there's no serious way to say how many access points are needed — and that's where oversized and undersized networks come from.
Can you reuse the equipment we already have?
Where it makes sense, yes. If the existing equipment doesn't allow centralised management, we'll say so — but the decision is the client's and is recorded in the report.
Do new cables need to be run?
There are almost always some to run, because access points go where the design places them, not where there happened to be an outlet. We do the cabling as part of the same job.
Do you manage the network afterwards?
Yes, under IT Unlimited contracts. The network sits in the centralised console, with alerts and continuous tuning.
Are there recurring licences on the equipment?
With the Ubiquiti UniFi solution there are no mandatory recurring licences. The cost is the equipment plus the management and maintenance of the network, which DataRoad provides under the IT Unlimited contract.
Can you create a guest network with our branding?
Yes. The guest network is isolated from the internal network and the access portal carries your company's logo and colours, with terms of use and access limits.
Can you manage several sites from a single point?
Yes. Every location sits in a single console, with the same policies and real-time visibility, and DataRoad takes care of management and maintenance.
Wi-Fi in Lisbon, by type of space
Every space has a different coverage problem:
- Business wireless network installation in Lisbon
- Site surveys and Wi-Fi coverage optimisation
- Wi-Fi for offices and coworking spaces
- Wi-Fi for warehouses and logistics
- Wireless networks for hotels and holiday rentals

Ubiquiti UniFi, since 2015
We have worked with Ubiquiti equipment in Portugal since 2015 and are partners certified by the manufacturer, with UniFi-certified engineers. It's not a brand we simply resell — it's the platform on which we have installed and manage most of the wireless networks we look after today.
Eleven years installing the same platform changes what you can guarantee. We know how access points really behave in difficult spaces: old walls, hotel rooms in a row, clinic plant floors, warehouses with metal racking. We size from the measurements we take on site, not from the manufacturer's datasheet.
- Certified Ubiquiti partner — the certification is in our name, not that of an intermediary supplier.
- Installations since 2015 in hotels, clinics, offices, embassies and public buildings.
- Centralised management of the networks we install: controller, updates and alerting all handled by us.
A recent example: Clínica Mulher, at the Twin Towers — 192 network points, Wi-Fi 7 and firewall. And the UniFi certification announcement.
