In 2024, Boost Portugal – Urban Thrills once again placed its trust in DataRoad - IT Services and Consulting, this time to completely renew its enterprise network. The project combined Wi-Fi 6 access points with centralised management, 48-port Layer 3 PoE switches, certification of every network point, a corporate firewall and monitoring with alerting. The result is a faster, more stable infrastructure, ready to grow over the coming years.

A relationship with history
Boost Portugal already worked with DataRoad for monthly support and monitoring of its systems. When the time came to modernise the network, the choice fell once again on the same team — a validation of trust in corporate networking, security and high-performance infrastructure.

With Layer 3 switching, traffic is routed within the local network without overloading the firewall; with PoE, the access points are powered through the cable itself. Certification guarantees that every outlet meets the standard.

It is present in Lisbon, Porto and Madrid and, through the GoCar Network, also in San Diego, Miami, San Francisco and Barcelona. It runs more than 1,300 activities a year, with sightseeing on two, three or four wheels.

The service that maintains the network after the works
After the renewal, the network is managed by DataRoad under IT Unlimited:
- Premium — from €750/month + VAT, with unlimited on-site support.
- Premium 365 — from €1,200/month + VAT, adding nights, weekends and public holidays, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Both include continuous monitoring, alerting, detailed reporting and proactive management to reduce risks and failures.
