Starting point: fragmented networks
Businesses needed networks that were reliable, scalable and easy to manage, without the complexity and cost of traditional solutions. Equipment from different brands, configured in different ways, made maintenance slow and fault-finding difficult. Every problem began with working out how that particular network had been put together.

The people behind the project
When DataRoad began working with Ubiquiti, its CEO already had extensive experience in networks and servers: he had held the technical directorship of a multinational security company in Portugal and worked at HP Portugal, taken part in marketplace-building projects and in groups such as CUF and Sonae, and worked with companies such as SAP and Microsoft. He also spent time at two IT distributors representing some of the world's biggest brands and holds several technical certifications from manufacturers.
That background gives DataRoad the judgement to choose, integrate and support the right technology for each business. And there is one ingredient that cannot be certified: we genuinely enjoy designing, installing and bringing well-built networks to life, from the first coverage survey to day-to-day management.
