Three phases, without stopping the service
The phases were coordinated to keep the impact on the client's daily activity to a minimum:
- Diagnosis and repair — faulty or underperforming outlets identified and fixed.
- New network outlets — installed in areas of the building with additional needs.
- Full certification — performance tests on each of the 456 outlets, individual documentation and labelling.
What certification measures — and why it is not optional
Certifying structured cabling means proving that every outlet meets the required technical parameters — attenuation, crosstalk and channel length, among others — to support current and future speeds and traffic. Without certification, intermittent faults can go unnoticed for months, hurting productivity and causing failures that are hard to diagnose.
In a building with hundreds of outlets, individual certification pinpoints any out-of-specification link before it reaches users and leaves a record that speeds up every future intervention.
