In 2019, WWIL – Quatenus chose DataRoad - IT Services and Consulting to build the network infrastructure for its new office. The project included termination of 100 CAT6 network points, switching for every point, a Security Gateway with redundancy across two internet carriers and AC 5 GHz wireless access points — with everything identified, connected and configured.

Who Quatenus are
Quatenus means "where is it?" in Latin. The company develops and provides real-time monitoring, control and management products, with geo-referenced information, for all kinds of fixed and mobile assets. How the network was built
Physical layer
- Termination — of all the office cabling.
- 100 CAT6 points — identified in the rooms and at the rack.
Switching and connections
- Network switches — installed to serve the 100 points.
- Interconnection — routers, switches and other network equipment connected and organised.
Security and continuity
- Security Gateway — network protection with redundancy across two internet carriers: if one connection fails, the other keeps the office working.
Wireless
- AC 5 GHz access points — distributed throughout the office.
