IT Services for Businesses in Oeiras

Oeiras concentrates one of the highest densities of offices in the country: modern business parks, technology and service companies, international branches and buildings shared by dozens of organisations. DataRoad works in this context — where the building's infrastructure determines half of the technical decisions.

What’s different about Oeiras

Working in a business park is not like working in your own building. There is shared infrastructure, technical estate management, restrictions on what can be installed and, often, pre-installed operators in the building. Technical decisions have to be negotiated with the space, not just drawn up on a floor plan.

Wireless density

On a floor with two hundred people and ten companies, the spectrum is congested. Choosing channels, power levels and the number of access points is no longer trivial; it becomes a project.

The residents' association decides

Cable routes, access to shared comms cabinets and construction schedules depend on the building. Taking this into account from the outset avoids delays of weeks.

To grow and shrink quickly

Technology teams change in size rapidly. The infrastructure must allow for workstations to be added without the need for building work or reconfiguring the whole system.

Zero tolerance for downtime

In a digital services company, an office without internet is a stopped company. Connection redundancy is the rule, not the exception.

Plan for the next move

The most expensive mistake we see in business parks is sizing the network strictly for the current team. Six months later, another fifteen people join, the room next door is occupied and you discover there are no sockets, no switch ports and no coverage in the new area.

Leaving spare capacity on network points, switch ports and wireless capacity costs little during the initial installation and avoids a second set of works — which, in a shared building, is always more complicated than the first.

What we provide in the region

Service This includes
Assistance and support Remote and on-site support for workstations, incident management and IT Unlimited at a fixed cost.
Networks and cabling Certified structured cabling, Layer 3 switching and PoE power supply.
Wireless Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 with coverage analysis and centralised cloud-based management.
Cyber security Enterprise firewall, traffic segmentation and managed antivirus.
Servers and data Servers, NAS and backups with restoration trials.
Communications IP telephone systems and CCTV video surveillance with continuous recording.
A detail that decides projects in shared buildings. Before drawing anything, you need to know what the building management permits to be run, through where, and at what time. A technically perfect design that the building does not authorise is worthless.

In high-density environments, active equipment and its centralised management weigh more heavily on the final result than the contracted speed.

Frequently Asked Questions

The building already has a network. Do we need anything else?

The building's infrastructure only provides a connection up to your space at most. Everything inside — cabling, switches, wireless, firewall and segmentation — is the company's responsibility, and that is where practically all performance issues lie.

Are you able to comply with the block’s rules?

Yes, and we deal with that directly with building management whenever necessary: access requests, construction schedules and authorised routes.

We are going to double in size in a year. How do you plan for that?

Scaling with a margin from the outset and choosing equipment that allows you to add capacity without replacing what is already in place. It works out more expensive in the first month but much cheaper over the first year.

Do you also provide day-to-day support to users?

Yes, under the regime IT Unlimitedunlimited helpdesk at a fixed cost, with permanent monitoring and onsite intervention when necessary.

A chat before making a decision

Whether you’re tackling a specific problem, planning a move or simply looking for a second opinion, we always start in the same way: by understanding your situation before making any suggestions. No obligation, no jargon and no catalogues.
