Does DataRoad have an office in Beja?

No. We serve the region from the Greater Lisbon area, through a model based on remote monitoring and planned site visits. We state this openly because it determines what we can guarantee in writing — and because a supplier that promises a local presence it doesn't have will always give themselves away at the first serious incident.

So what happens if a server breaks down?

It depends on what was agreed. With monitoring, in most cases the issue is identified before it causes an outage. For anything that requires physical replacement, the contract defines the response time and whether there is spare equipment on site — which is frequently the most sensible option at this distance.

Is it worth having a local server or moving everything to the cloud?

It depends on the call quality. Where the internet is reliable, the cloud drastically reduces the need for travel. Where it isn't, a well-monitored local server continues to be the safest option — and that is an assessment made using data, not on principle.
